Four BNP newspaper sellers showed up Buchanan Street Glasgow this afternoon (Saturday 5th April 2008). They were quickly surrounded and blockaded into ineffectuality by combined action of anarchists, SWP-ers, CPB-ers, and other comrades. They left once their newspapers had been ripped up.
That is the first time the BNP have attempted open streetwork in the centre of Glasgow, and almost the only time they have attempted open work anywhere in Glasgow.
But it will be worth keeping a look out for them in in case they attempt a rematch.
