Later this month there's going to be a punk (and techno) tour round Ireland and Scotland with the awesome:

OI POLLOI
GRA GRANNA
LA LUAIN

...and others.

Anarchism (hopefully not completely lifestylist wink) will be given a mic, and there should be plenty of oppertunities to spread propaganda in amongst moshing. This is also the first real punk tour ever to be carried out by bands who use only Gaelic (Irish and Scottish), w00t.

Good stuff Pine,

The only problem with the Portree gig is that it's the only one still to be confirmed. I think if we somehow don't get a proper venue, there may well be punk in the streets or something! But yeah, watch out for updates.

My Irish Gaelic is basic but I'm a Scots Gaelic speaker (they're two different languages).

Some nice phrases:

Is mise ______
[is mish-uh - ]
I am / My name is _______

'S e anargach a tha annam.
[sheh anarkakh a ha awnum]
I am an anarchist.

Aimhreit nan Croitearan, Oir Chluaidh Dhearg, Stailc nam Mèinnearan - nach dìochuimhnichibh ur dualchas; DÈANAIBH STRÌ!
[voh ayritch nan crootcheran, ohr khlooaye yerak...ah bollocks]
Crofters' War, Red Clydeside, the Miners' Strike - don't forget your heritage; Struggle!

Spàrr nad thòn e!
[spahr nad hohn eh]
Shove it up yer arse!

wink

aidh, bha e math, chord e rium, agus chord an cd le mill a h-uile rud a cheannaich mi rium cuideachd. Ach, ca robh na giobarlagain? Le orain cho sanntach, bu choir do striopach no dha a bhith an lathair. Ach, ca'n robh iad?
