Sol fed members

Are you a Solidarity Federation member? Post on this thread please with the name of your local (if you live in different city than your local perhaps worth mentioning that?) and the industry you work in. Hopefully we will get some kind of libcom SF member contacts directory kind of thing up and running for benefit of local interested people and networking.

Looking for former member of DAM

Hi, is anybody in contact with a Mr. Richard Cleminson. He was involved with the DAM-IWA at least as long ago as 1992. He translated "Anarchist Economics" by Abraham Guillen and I want to contact him to see if he did any more translation of the work from which the text in the pamphlet was taken - "Economia Libertaria."

Thanks.

"Economics of Freedom" discussion group

Liverepool Meeting, Thursday 29th November

Hi Comrades,

We are having a meeting to launch an SF branch on Merseyside. It's on Thursday November 29th at 7.30pm in the Basement/Social Centre, next to News From Nowhere, 96 Bold St, Liverpool 1. Entrance is via the door next to that of the bookshop. One of the bells is marked 'Basement' - that's where we'll be.

All welcome. Please inform all friends and comrades in the area.

SWF publications

Hey there comrades....

I'm looking for copies (even photocopied) of the SWF pamphlet "Workers Control" and "The Bomb, Direct Action and the State".

Also wondering if there are any copes or bound volumes of "Direct Action" (SWF) still about?

Also any industrial bulletins issued by the SWF or the National Rank & File Movement I'd also be interested in.

Bookfair

Hi All,

There'll be a stall at the anarchist bookfair run by the 2 London groups. We need help staffing the stall throughout the day and with the meeting which will be on casualisation.

Any local propaganda you want to stick on the stall is welcome too,

Regards,

Martin

Defy Tesco article in Direct Action

Hi guys, not meaning to have a go here (ok, a small one wink) but I was just wondering what the story is with that 'Defy Tesco' article in the previous Direct Action (the Notional Health Service issue). here

SolFed Southern Regional Meeting

Comrades,

This will be on Saturday July 14th in Camberwell, South London, rather than Brighton as previously advertised.

Who's likely to come?

Martin

The death of Noël Michon.

Does the SolFed have any contacts with CNT Le Havre, see CNT death at work in the news forum. I thought it might be an idea to get a wreath for his funeral. I can stick in a fiver.

Surveilance at work

I was watching some programme on bbc1 the other day which was celebrating the success of cctv and surveilance technology in catching criminals. One of the examples involved two blokes being spotted taking booze from the shop they worked in, the owner of the establishment had set up a hidden camera in the stockroom to watch the two while they worked.

Stuff your Boss, Maternity pay.

Alright all.
I picked up a copy of Stuff your boss flyer on saturday from the brighton talks day, regarding maternity pay as of April 1st 2007, has been extended to 9 months.
See the DTI's bluurb below.

Regeneration

I'm curious what has lead to a regeneration of interest and activity in Solfed. As an anarcho-syndicalist, I think this is positive and would be most interested in hearing from comrades on this.

Sol Fed conference and low level of class struggle (split from conference thread)

split from http://libcom.org/forums/solfed/conference because I'm not having that thread becoming an opportunity to bitch at SF.

Conference

I had a fun weekend, and I think it was productive. I hope everyone else foun d it okay!
