When I was in Amsterdam a few years ago I had beers with a Dutch guy named John who was part of that group, but yeah, apparently most members are (were?) Spanish. I think we still have a press exchange with them.

Here's the contact I have:

AGA
PO Box 16521
1001 RA Amsterdam
email: aga@squat.com.

AGA (Anarchist Group Amsterdam) has a webpage at http://agamsterdam.wordpress.com/

They are a part of Vrije Bond - Basisorganisatie voor zelfbeheer en syndicalisme: http://www.buitendeorde.nl/

from A-infos:

Quote:
Vrije Bond - Free Union is the translation with the subtitle 'basic organization for autogestion and syndicalism'. It is a group funded late '80s when members were thrown out by a syndicate due to a lack of hierarchy, anarchism. We are about 60 people whom cooperate in an anarchistic way. Four times a year we edit a magazine called 'Buiten de Orde' (Outside of Order), from the contribution we maintain a solidartyfund (for members on strike, helping each other likewise in activitys and activism or others, also abroad like now) and a few likewise groups are associated with VB. However, most members are involved as a person -so not as VBdelegate - in solidaritygroups and so on.

As I recall, there used to be some kind of revolutionary syndicalist union in Holland called the OWB or OVB. Anyone know what happened to them?

The OVB are still there, but overwhelmingly Marxist. The Vrije Bond is what the anarchists thrown out in the 80s regrouped into. Even people I knew sympathetic to the OVB admitted that the way they expelled the anarchists was out of order,

Regards,

Martin

Vrije Bond was created by anarchists kicked out of OVB. Don't know what happened with the organization afterwards.

Hello. The key VB person was the late Karl Krueger. Karl died a few years ago. Many of you who werre active in the 1980s and 1990s probably met him at various IWA events.

VB issued some periodic newsletters and active in---it seems---social class issues.

The AGA is a sort of anarchist group with syndicalist sympathies. WSA periodically was in touch with them. Same for the IWA.

During the late 1970s-early 1980s IWA upsurge, the Duth and the Danes seems to have had their own style of work. They were never sectarian, but seemed to have been criticised (particularly the Danes) for their being open to contact with the SAC.
