So what would there changes be with regard to sport?

Not being psychic I wouldn't know, and nor does anybody else on this thread.

No cultural changes would occur after a libertarian communist revolution. None whatsoever.

Sorry, I totally forgot that the entire reason the anarchist movement existed was so every person with feeling of inadequacy, a chip on their shoulder or a mental idea could have illusions that someday they can force the world into their vegan/no sports/child sex or whatever line of thought. And then theres the AF...

This sort of bollocks wouldn't bother me if you actually were stupid enough to think that's what I meant.

What about boxing, pheasant shooting and angling? Any thoughts?

I cant really think of a more harmless past time than angling, unless you think fish are THE FORGOTTEN VICTIMS!!!1!!11 like someone who left leaflets to that effect at the last Belfast bookfair.
Boxing, I dont see the problem, in fact I'd see it as even less problematic, removed from a capitalist context of exploitative promoters etc, and boxers taking risks with fights they may not want but see as their only option to earn a decent crust (which they often dont even manage to do as it is). I dont think that the disappearance of capitalism would entail the disappearance of competitive urges in terms of people wanting to test themselves mentally and physically, against their own limits (distance running, powerlifting etc.), or against others (boxing, chess, whatever).
Shooting pheasants; do you mean pheasants themselves, or just shootin' things? I hope we'd be a bit more circumspect about what we shoot (white tigers, no), but I dont have a problem with shooting per se.

I don't see the connection between the 3?

Nor me, I was taking each one to be symbolic of something?

Also, for each one of them, I can think of at least one person who does each on these boards.

To be fair, anyone who did angling as a sport as opposed to as a "laugh" or "for food" is probably some kind of pervert.

Hence my calling it a 'past time'.

one of the most team-driven and non-violent sports I've seen so far is probably curling.

unfortunately it also looks incredibly stupid and embarrassing, once again proving that lack of competitive spirit almost always means a shit game.

in that someone has to win, but that's pretty much it, as far as I can tell. there are no tricks, no opportunity to shine as an individual player, no (violent) clashes between players. It's all about being an accurate broomer.

yes it is competitive in exactly how competitive is defined.

running is competitive and you don't get to smack people up, likewise golf.

competitiveness is also "an aggressive willingness to compete," which doesn't necessarily involve smacking people up (see previous post), and which curling has none of.
Running is more competitive because it allows players to showcase their individual skill and it's much more dynamic. In short it is more aggressive, albeit not violently so.
Golf is an apt comparison though.

I hope they run the next curling world championships down my road. It could do with a good sweep.
