Objection: If a workplace or factory is worker-controlled, who then pays for the expenses?

So I know most of you are anarchists (though communists and anarchists agree that money should be done away with, the question is when), but how would you respond to such an objection? Would the providing of these be a joint effort? If yes, how so?

What's the context? By worker-controlled, do you mean a co-op of the sort that exist in capitalist society? If so, the expenses necessary to keep things up and running comes from the surplus value that the workers extract from themselves. After all, however democratic or egalitarian a co-op might be internally, capital accumulation is still necessary to avoid bankruptcy.

If you're describing a workplace in a communist society, then issues of payment aren't an issue since nothing's priced.
