Can anybody recommend some decent texts, either in print, or online, about this Russian anarchist group, and others like it, and their impact on revolutionary Russia? I have read some Avrich stuff, but would like to widen my knowledge if possible to do so, with your help. Articles, books, etc that can give me some more background information, rather than just introductory stuff.

Can comment on articles and discussions
i am also very interested in finding out more about chernoe znamia (and beznachalie, chernyi voron, iastreb, etc.) and the only things i've been able to find (other than the avrich) are two books - both pretty introductory - called Thou Shalt Kill: Revolutionary Terrorism in Russia, 1894-1917 by Anna Geifman and Terrorism by (Norman??) Laquer. The Geifman's written pretty horrible, but as she tries and disprove the anarchist groups by showing how ammoral and whimsical they were with their attacks, she does a pretty good job of referencing some obscure attacks.
If you have any sources i'd love to know them.
There's also the option of reading they're actual propaganda if you know a university with a really good russian department and know russian or are willing to learn it.
