Daily life in the libertarian communist society - Anarchists seldom write on

Misconceptions about the post capitalist libertarian communist society are common. Lot of anticapitalists present some opinions about the post capitalist antiauthoritarian society. Usually people have one sided point of reference:
the opposite of the present globalized capitalism.
On the face of it there is not only one obvious alternative to the present condition. (An exactly the opposite can be even worse than the replaced...) So when pressed, people who oppose the present social order reply with a spontaneous reply that do not present a complete model.
You can read my take about it on:
GLIMPSES INTO THE YEAR 2100 - Daily life in the libertarian communist society - 50 years after the revolution at:

I'm more interested in following praxis than fictional short stories.

If you do not want to return to class society - you need to keep the power in the assemblies of members of grass roots communities.
P.S.
In the time of political awareness nearly all commune (Israely kibbutzes) members attended the week end meetings.

direct democracy mean you delegate people to perform what already decided in the assemblies of members of grass roots communities - not the decision power itself.

Um. William Morris. Say no more. Communism is a pathetic petit-bourgeois apology for capitalism. No wonder Mr Harrington remains optimistic. Having said that, SolFed's "Economics of Freedom" is little better.

I'm more interested in developing it. The path is the goal.

I like the way that big meetings and things which could otherwise get a bit tedious are turned into festivals. To turn such events into opportunities for a good party, as well as just decision making events, seems an excellent idea. Has a hint of the tribal gathering about it (watch out, I've come over all primitivist all of a sudden)

Come now, we could very feasibly be using all of those gizmos designed for capitalism as intsruments for coordinating production and decision-making. It's almost like some kind of reverse reification.

I always took the lack of writing about post-revolutionary society as the result of the fact that we don't fucking know. We can guess or make suggestions, but any attempts to say "This is how it will be" are pure nonsense.

The path is the goal. One of the sexier things about proper communism is its admission that communism will be a lot worse than it is now, but regardless, necessary in order to avoid barbarism. I’m reminded of Monsieur Dupoint’s assertion that our gadgets are only possible within the capitalist mode of production.

Lazy Riser what do you mean communism will be worse than it is today, I presume you mean during and directly after the revolution.

Less gadgets and only getting "unexploitative" sex. (no £600 all night rimming sessions).

Kibbutzes? No thanks. Communal housing - that's for long-hairs and bolshevik drones. Fucking hell, out of the frying pan and into the fire. Capitalism may not be all kicks and giggles, but having to share the telly with 70 comrades would be hell.

Com. 1: Let's watch Proles!* I wanna watch Proles!
Com. 21: Noooo! Proles is for running dog lackeys of bourgeois imperialist paper tigers, I wanna watch Comrades**!
Com. 23: Comrades is for frivilous petty-bourgeois tossers, let's watch the news.
Com. 1: Yeah, the news! I really wanna hear an update on UNALIENATED, VOLUNTARY productivity in the red-n-black flag and bunting industry.
Com. 21: Nooo! I wanna watch Comrades!
Com. 54 thru 60: We wanna watch As Time Goes By re-runs with Judy Dench!

* Proles - future version of Cops (its an amazing Yank show), except it's enemies of the revolution being hunted down in high-speed races down motorways and so on.
** Comrades - much like Friends, except they wear overalls.

If you're caucasian and model-hot (not natural, hairy, BBW or “mature”), demure and posh in a slutty business suit, for def. But I mean all night and I’m not sure if you’ve factored in the hepatitis risk. I mean, you can engage the services of a Californian porn actress for $1250 a day, at current sterling exchange rates that’s pretty good, I expect you’d have to negotiate though if you wanted to resell to your mates at per-15 minute rates.

It is amaizing how the immagination of people carry them so far from what is suggested.
In the post capitalist system you will have much more privacy ever in class society.

(In Kibbutzes there was no communal sleeping halls. The children has their own houses mainly because there was no funds for buildings that will have both high level for kids and proximity of parents....)

No one will tell you what to experience in your dwelling unit as long as your screams will not penetrate the isolated noise walls.

(Do not mix between my libertarian communist glimpses and the despised Michael Albert Parecon.

For sure they will have lot of video conferencing as most activities of direct democracy of delegates will be done through the communication system while members of comities will not have to travel to administrative offices....
As for blackberries, like most other berries and fruits, they will be grown and distributed if people will want to consume them.

You cannot expect that all life of the new society will be included in 17 glimpses - wait for the new glimpses.
