Edward Bernays and Milton Friedman

Are these the two most relevant theorists with relation to contemporary society?

Freedom and Capitalism, by Friedman reads like a more damming and eyeopening account of how definitions of 'freedom' and 'deomocracy' are formed and utilised in capitalist society than most works by alternative writers. Whilst some of the splurge written by Bernays about regimenting the public mind in accordance with the goals of the capitalist class is simply brilliant in the sense that it exposes the rhetoric and actions of world governments in all their malevolent splendor.

Theyre neo-libs in the sense that they wish capital to be freed from all encumbrances to accumulation, perhaps bernays was more of a control freak than a neo-liberal, but his writings are very contemporary.

They provide a critique of themselves in their own ideas because of the awful nature of them. They explain the neo-liberal agenda better than most 'critics'.
