Insinuations of anarchist involvement in bomb attacks

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/4674417.stm

Quote:
An explosion at the Italian Cultural Institute in the Spanish city of Barcelona has lightly injured a policeman and killed a sniffer dog.

[...]

The Associated Press reports that graffiti was daubed on a wall outside the cultural institute reading "freedom for Italian prisoners" along with a circle with the letter A - the symbol for anarchism.

Quote:
Australia's High Commissioner in London Richard Alston believes bombs in the city are most likely the work of anti-globalisation 'anarchists' to coincide with the Group of Eight summit meeting in Scotland.

In combination with talk of e-mail spying by Charles Clarke and a draconian new "anti-terror" laws, is this anything to worry about?

I picked up on that too, I just think that its a little omnious for the BBC to be hinting anarchist involvement with a bomb attack with no evidence whatsoever in the current climate.

Something I saw on Friday (same day as the thing from the antipodean loon) was a piece in the Financial Times which described the London bombings as "propaganda of the deed," & suggested that Islamic terrorists were consciously adopting anarchist tactics.

The Mrs reckons Primark is the home of the cheap, reliable hold-up.

Media reported on the account of the Spanish authorities and the Italian ambassador that the explosion went off as the dog and his policeman were checking it after a call from the employees at the institute. The authorities reported that that policeman is slightly injured! The Labrador dog is yet another victim of the cruel exploitation of animals on the hands of the corporate world and the state and its repressive clusters.

..... from a story that someone attempted to post on the newswire. roll eyes grin

Has to be said, it shows PBD works (obviously

I condone all terrorism, state and otherwise):

whoever planned the London bombings, I'm

sure they got the desired result.

Although, or perhaps because, Islamists don't

believe in the modern nation state as such,

as anarchists we should seek to distance ourselves

from those who carry out such atrocities and their

beliefs as well as giving a reasoned explanation

for why they would do so.

Anything phallic qualifies as an offensive weapon, imo. Scares the shit out of me.

What makes you so sure? What do you think their aims where? What part of this is a good argument for propaganda by the deed (from a tactical point of view)?

condone shouldn't be a word, it's far too close to condem and even the sound of it implies condemnation rather than support angry

So sorry:I CONDEMN.

My point stands about PBD,though, especially after

the public execution of that Brazillian last week

and Blairs comments. Now his murder I do condone! black bloc
