Revolutions Per Minute

Does anyone know what has happened to Revolutions Per Minute/Red Star Research - the previously prolific radical publishing project. Numerous contacts have reported mail returned from BCM Box No. (Including book orders). Have asked around and nobody heard anything for over a year now. Neither of their email addresses work either.

Just picking this one up again. Managed to track them/him down. New address: RPM c/o Bradford Resource Centre, 17-21 Chapel St, Bradford BD1 5DT. Red Star Research has closed though - "Our work here is done". Still contactable through http://www.red-star-research.org.uk/rpm/rpmheader1.html

we stopped doing red-star-research about 18 months ago, the last book by rpm was the comedy by ian newton called 'the night shift' comedy series - it sold well and we initially had significant interest from a number of tv stations and production companies but when they realised it was actually about workers taking the piss at work and having a laugh at the bosses expense that was the end of that.

there's still copies left and also a few from earlier ones as well and will probably continue to reprint the radical and revolting - the english working class booklet as it still sells when i get it out at various meetings i attend, which get fewer by the week as i have a new boy to help look after.

personally i am writing a lot of things for the big issue in the north magazine, seems to get a good response especially as the range of issues i've covered has been enormous [copies on remploy, play, disabled football fans that forced arsenal to spend £2 million, women's football, who owns the world, pfi projects etc etc i'd be happy to send on to anyone] and feel its the best i can contribute at the moment, and also helping out at http://empower-sport.com

a book on sunderland's finest footballer i've done is out later this year called 'the greatest centre-half the world has ever seen - charlie hurley' which is also a social history of the north east, sportsbooks are publishing it

anyone wants any of the rpm book/lets just email me and i will sort out to get them to you.

whoever said they haven't seen me at the football, that can't be right

all the best
