Hi

Why don’t the Ryton workers choose a high street bank at random and get them to continue to pay their wages forever after they’ve been laid off? If the bank refuses, they could ask for solidarity strikes from their comrades in “low cost economies” (although likely to end up a symbolic measure) and the domestic public could move their accounts to a different bank en-masse. The various capitalist entities concerned could work out amongst themselves how to deal with it. Assuming we could get enough people in this country to close their accounts, what would the likely outcome of this course of action be? It could easily mean the collapse of a major high street bank and the suffering of many bourgeois with little effect on the fortunes of the proletariat, apart from bank workers, maybe they could sort themselves out with some "redundancy pay".
