I Have been offered an interview with Subway, should I go for the job?

The reason I ask is coz I don't know much about them but I presume thay are some horrid global company who hate unions etc and treat their workers like shit. But at the same time it's a job and being unemployed sucks!

no brainer, go for the job if you can't get a better one. such is the proletarian condition sad

Yeah I guess your right, my mate who lives near me would probably say the same thing. If the job was shit I could always look for another one, infact if I do get the job I'll still be looking elswhere for employment.I had to ask though for an opinion though, cheers.Does anyone disagree?

It's much easier to get a job when you have a job. If you start having long periods of unemployment on your record, future employers are more wary of you.

i'd live off the doll if i could TBH. it's not a political thing just i mean there's enough books to read in the world to not care about shiny things imo.

if you can find an ok area to live in or whatever not much crime and that.

Naturally if you need the fliff yea need the fliff and should go for it, as for what you've presumed about Subway I think your probably spot on. I've never worked at one but one of my sisters worked there for a long time and several friends have gone through the place. When asked about it they tell me basically what I expected to hear. Hardass work for complete shit wages, no schedule security and so on. If your Subway stores or anything like they are over here, you'll be making sandwiches literally 6 feet away from bread ovens, spending a good amount of your shift using a knife to cut bread (observe caution), and dealing with the stresses of customer service. No schedule security will probably go both ways in that, if there are not enough workers you'll be called upon when you don't want, and on the odd chance that there is enough workers, as a result of the employers reaction to the high turnover rate, they'll keep hiring people tell everyone is working 10 hours a week. Anyway, thats what I know. Good luck!
