Warwickshire anarchists

Leamington Rising Tide have decided to tackle the planned development of Clarendon Arcade. The development will not only strike a blow against local traders and increase car journeys but will have irreversible consequences for the environment as increased consumption leads to increased emissions.

We produced a student zine last term called Dissident Warwick, and will produce an issue every term. We printed 2000 copies of a 16 page issue, you can access the articles online on our blog:

Who we are?

LETS, which stands for Local Exchange Trading Systems, groups are "community-based mutual aid networks in which people exchange all kinds of goods and services with one another, without the need for money" (using their words)

Dave Steele, a participant in the Leamington Spa LETS, is running a workshop on how it works.

the Midlands Discussion Forum is holding a meeting at the Friends of the Earth building in Digbeth on Saturday 6th October at 1.30.

We are going to have a stall in the Leamington Peace Festival on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th of June from 11am to 6:30pm on both days.

You University people should read this book, if you haven't already. It's in yer uni library (or was when I was there). I wrote an article about it in the boar, it's good for helpin try and radicalise them students.
