unfortunately we were too late to get a workshop or anything, but they've very kindly said we can have some space on some kind of info table thing. i thought we should have a) copies of the new brum brum (assuming we get it done in time) b) some general leaflets c) some enrager.net fliers and anarchism vs. capitalism leaflets and d) a little flier about the ayn gathering.

i'm going, i don't know if anyone else is. it's £10 i think for a ticket for the whole thing, or you can go to individual events. info is here: http://www.ladyfestbirmingham.org. hopefully i'm going to be able to get cheap accomodation off them, if not is there somewhere i can sleep? i'm not living in brum anymore.

just checked the email account and i see wty has been emailing them back about stuff. last week they wanted help with publicity, don't know if they still do. so is anyone else going, or is it just going to be me? you don't have to get a weekend ticket, you could just come for some of the events.

ok, if anyone else is going to this, or if anyone has some leaflets they can give me and can meet me tomorrow or saturday, then give me a ring and i'll meet you and take them off you.

well, it was great. unfortunately i forgot to bring any copies of brum brum until the event today, although the organisers were very nice about it. i also overslept on saturday and missed the radical knitting workshop, but my mum says she'll teach me, so nevermind. i also then made the mistake of going to the cinema instead of going to the sixties synchronised dance workshop, who performed in the evening, and looked like great fun. ah well. music was awesome and varied, and i think we should ask for contacts for any of the local bands and see if they'd do gigs for us.

Doh, forgot about this, i had thought it was next weekend instead of this weekend just gone.

Anyway, are there any other local festivals coming up that we could be doing stuff at?

24th of july. as in a week today. mozfest is, from what i understand, a little local festival in moseley, birmingham, a bit like the one in leamington we went to. and we'll be doing a stall as we did there. providing people can bring the stuff.

i've got some of the stuff (one carrier bag full, dunno how much of a percentage of the stall stuff that is), can do saturday probably (can't see a reason why i can't make it)...

i'm also trying to get the leamington spark started again, so if the others involved come up with articles in time for me to put it together i might have a few copies by sat...

how do u get to mosley from brum city centre? or would it be easier for ppl to meet in the centre (say new st station) first?

what time shall we meet? although i may have to find the rest of you later, as i'm not sure when my train will arrive, and also i'll probably go via the uni as i need to visit the library. but that doesn't really matter as i have none of the stuff, except the flag.

do we have to take the table?

where is the festi being held, i know the rough area, but a couple of people have asked me for concrete directions, i know J was sorting most of it out but can we have a few more details. ta. smile

After checking train times the earliest i can realistically get to New St station is about 9.30, i am assuming the festival won't start before about 10, so 9.30 or 10ish in New St station would be a reasonable time?

Hopefully see you there tomorrow...

right, the festival starts at 10am, and is in the centre of moseley near the crossroads. the moseley collective of one has copies of brum brum, so i'm not sure if i will be coming tomorrow, it depends on whether i can be sure that the uni library will be open. if i'm not there, good luck. oh, and discuss the squat, in particular stuff like what is needed to get in, who's to get it, when we're going to open it etc.

ok, i can't come tomorrow, cos i can't get to brum. if there are any issues about the squat or whatever, then i'll be in brum sometime during the week, otherwise i'll see everyone on the 15th of august or after (depending on when we break the squat).
