May Day
Well i kow its just January and your all probably still recovering from new years, but i was thinking and i just wanted to know:
Shall we go as a group, together?
shall we meet up down there?
go individually?
anyway i think we should do some planning for may day as it is a (if not the) Big event for us all this year.
from past experiences
probably best to keep any mayday plans off the net
and only talk about them when were all face to face
okay dublin would be good.
i don't think just saying we'll probably go to dublin is that much of a security problem, unless we're planning on arriving in a bright pink minibus with a circled a on the front and "WMA Brew Crew" painted in lime green down the side. but yeah, i suppose other than that we should keep off the subject. although, do we want to organise transport to dublin from the west mids? cos that would be public anyway if we decide to... we'd leave it up to individuals what they want to do when they get there of course....
c) it's an eu meeting so it will probably kick off,
yeah but with that stuff written on the net by someone from wma and then us advertising whats going on, we're going to attract to much dodgy unwanted attention far to early

how? anyone with even a vague interest in anti-cap stuff knows that eu summits regularly kick off, it's not saying we're going to, it's just stating the obvious....

a few of us went down last year, and it was shit. truly shit, so shit that most of us decided never to go to another shitty may day demo in shitty london ever again, or at least not until we have a massive anarchist movement and can get away with torching the City...
something a few of us have discussed is to go to dublin for mayday, as that is when the anti-eu actions will be taking place. this would be great as a) we'd get to network with the irish, b) the irish cops aren't used to demos as much as here, c) it's an eu meeting so it will probably kick off, and d) it won't be a shitty mayday demo. and anyway, there might not even be a london mayday this year, if the organisers have any sense.
