Is it possible for someone to like Pixies and be a bad person?

I've never met anyone who liked Pixies that was a bad person.

In fact I think I've liked everyone I've met that likes them.

I saw them when they did that joint tour with the Throwing Muses when they took turns "headlining". What a great gig, and everyone there was lovely too. So, in my experience, no Pixies fan can be a bad person.

assuming we are talking about the band, and not the fictional animal (like bears and tigers), then I agree- I have liked everyone who likes them.

My Dad likes the Pixies, and he's a very, very, very bad person indeed. In fact his only redeeming feature is his good taste in music.

See now the Pixies are crap and overrated, the Smiths are wicked and (mildly) overrated, although I feel Morrisey has lost it abit.

The Pixies and their sycophantic fans are a capitalist contruct. And the Smiths, especially Morrisey.

The Smiths have a lyrical and musical quality absent in the Pixies and all their other falling side projects. The Pixies always conjure up images of music executives and scenesters falling over one another to praise them and their contribution to music, they deducted from music, not contributed to it and inspired another band almost as worse.

I could punch Morrisey's face for hours...

I'm sure he'd like it, maybe write a song or two on it.

The Pixies lowered the musical tone of the 1980s, in the fact that the excellent rockers of the previous years were now no more. Come on the Pixies didn't even have solos or the good hair (at least Morrisey had the style). You want proper bands like Yes.

The Pixies are dull and most of their fans I've met have been airhead grungers in denial. Fuck this whole alt.rock thing, bores the shite out of me. It's inspired an entire generation of boring idiots to noodle incessantly on guitars in shit bands. The only thing worse than offensive music is inoffensive music.

Me too, I watched him on Channel 4 last night and he was just about the most arrogant, irritating, self-important fuckhead I've ever seen. His solo shit is dire.

The Smiths were fucking incredible though.
