Here are our top ten most popular authors in the libcom.org library, by the number of page view their author index gets.

So, see if you can guess which one is the libcom.org library's most popular theorist!

EDIT - This has changed into a sorta competition: if you can guess the top 3 in the correct order you win a bit of my stuff. Deadline for entries on this thread - 5 April 2006.

PS anyone who's not an admin who can guess the order they all are all in will win a prize. I'll give you something from my house, that's alright. So not like a great prize, but an okay one.

Hi

I reread Pannekeok’s “Workers’ Councils” the other day. It was great, much better than I remembered. What do make of it revol68?

I'm trying to work out the probability of getting all 10 in the right order. It's quite a bit more than several millions to one. It better be a good prize or else I'm sticking with the national lottery.

Would I be right in thinking that the probability is 10! to 1? 3 628 800 to 1?

I think Kropotkin, not for any reason other than he is quite famous and is supposed to be more systematic than Bakunin.

3. Kropotkin

Disappointed no Berkman or Goldman on list! Glad it's just the top 3 now - to get all 10 in the correct order would be a statistical near-impossibility!

Though I'm a bit worried about this mysterious thing in John's house that forms the prize..I guess had it been top 10 no-one would have guessed it and he would be able to present the prize to himself for being a clever dick. At least he would know he liked it..being some weird thing he already owns..though of course....Property Is Thef ! wink

Here's to Goldman!

No, it is not. It is 10! to 1, which is 3 628 800 to 1. 9! is 362 880 to 1. You are out by one order of magnitude, but your mistake is understandable.

No, it is not. It is 10! to 1, which is 3 628 800 to 1. 9! is 362 880 to 1. You are out by one order of magnitude, but your mistake is understandable.
