Around 40 striking workers maintaining a 4 month long strike and occupation in the town hall of Tuxpan, Nayarit were attacked by police with teargas, air rifles and baton charges today. The workers had managed to convince the drivers of 3 municipal waste vehicles to let the buses be sequestered as a means of protecting themselves against the police aggresions. 2 were taken to the baseball stadium and another to a timberyard, presumably for its central location. The police failed in their attempt to reclaim the bus in the timberyard. 3 workers were injured.

The strikers are demanding the reinstatement of fired workers, salary raises and loan repayments.

I think I owe Libcom about 10 stories right now but I'm writing an essay...I'll get on it eventually.
