I notice that the Unemployed Resource centre has played host to a screen of Ken Loach's Bread and Roses. I wonder is there any scope for establishing a political film society that could hold screenings regularly? I've had some of experienc of doing this while working in England - organising films to commemorate the Diggers and to raise issues of human rights. They were suprisingly successful. Of course, I was told that no one would be interested but I found if you tied the film in with a relevant speaker and a discussion people came and really seemed to get something from the experience.
