Can you describe the events surrounding the death of Alexis again?
For the last three years the Greek police's strategy in Exârcheia, a district famous for popular struglle and home to many students., young people and libertarians, has been one of provocation.

2003: Frog pubs strike
An account of a strike of mostly Sri Lankan workers, aided by outside militants, at a British-owned pub chain in France, which won some concessions for the workers.
There are several Frog Pubs in Paris, English style beer pubs, whose menus and ‘sport events on big screens’ are aimed at a young and solvent clientele. Expenses are reduced by all means necessary: the kitchen staff work in tiny kitchens (e.g. 12 square metre kitchen for 450 square metres pub area). The wages vary between the minimum wage and 1,200 euros for the chef.
CNT communique: support for UMP occupation arrestees
Statement from the anarcho-syndicalist organisation CNT-France in support of 8 arrest in an anti-CPE occupation.
On Tuesday March 14th a group made up of about fifty students, secondary-school pupils, workers and unemployed met with the aim of carrying out a peaceful, symbolic action to show their refusal of the CPE and precariousness. The group decided to occupy the local branch of the UMP. Following this, 8 people were arrested by the police force and taken into custody.

Violence against demonstrations in France
Police units attack anti-CPE demonstration and anarchists are arrested as repression against the movement steps up.
In the Parisian banlieue of Sevres, a protest was attacked from both sides by CRS riot police and was further attacked by the RG (an independent police intelligence unit often accused of spying upon journalists and political opponents). This is part of a general state crackdown on the protests across France.
