Statement from an occupier of EHESS
A statement by one of the participants in the occupation of the Paris university EHESS, which was broken by police this morning.
Friday morning, the Graduate Center for Social Sciences (EHESS) in Paris was cleared by riot police at 6am and left "ransacked." 72 people were taken into custody, asked for identification, questioned and released. By 11am, most of those detained were released and thus far, no charges have been filed.
Students bodies decline to meet Villepin
UNEF, CE (Confederation edutiante), UNL and FIDL have turned doen the invitation to meet French Prime Minister Dominique de Villepin later this afternoon, Saturday 25th March.
This refusal follows the refusal of school students and the failure of a union meeting with Villepin.
Villepin-unions meeting achieves little
Domenique de Villepin met representatives of the five major trade-union confederations today at his official residence, the Matignon.
The union federations represented were the CGT, CFDT, FO, CFTC and Cfe-cgc.

Paris set for another anti-CPE demonstration tomorrow
A demonstration organised by school and university students is set to take place tomorrow in Paris.
Called by the Coordination des Facs et Lycées d'Ile de France et de Paris or Network of Universities and High Schools of Paris and the Suburbs, the protest will march on the National Assembly.

Riot in banlieue as school students protest against CPE
Hundreds of youths clashed with riot police on Monday afternoon in the Parisian banlieue (suburb) of Drancy.
Between 300 - 500 pupils of the Eugene Delacroix High School had gathered for an anti-CPE demonstration. Three vehicles were set fire to and a bus shelter was damaged in the clashes. There was one arrest. According to the police force, the incidents lasted 3 hours.

After France, 1,000 students walk out in Auckland NZ
In Auckland, New Zealand today, over 1,000 high school students walked out of class to protest against youth pay rates, whilst linking their protest to the events in France.
The protest ended with some violence and a sit-down protest in a major intersection.
Students from schools including Auckland Girls Grammar, Selwyn College, Epsom Girls and Senior College went to a rally during school hours to demand equal pay with adults.
