To whom it may concern,
As you may or may not have already heard, Freedom Press is in some difficulty, both financial and in terms of volunteer labour – basically we need you.
Freedom must be saved
The potential closure of an iconic publication such as ‘Freedom’ is an absolute travesty, and would be in whatever circumstances that it may have arisen. However, the reasons for which it found itself in such a perilous financial state makes me feel sick to the pit of my stomach.
Printers Playtime
Workers Playtime is a defunct workerist journal that last came out in May 1985, just after the end of the miners' strike. This pamphlet is a collection of Playtime articles. Together, they trace the changing character of the class struggle in the UK printing industry. It ends with a short piece about Wapping, and extracts from the unofficial strike bulletin Picket.
