Workerism - Antagonism
Self-critique by some communists of their own workerist tendencies.
Workerism is a form of capitalist ideology that is endemic amongst self-defined revolutionaries.
It is an ideology that encourages the acceptance of, and propaganda for wage-labour, amongst individuals who have realised the exploitation and alienation that wage-labour entails. It is thus one of the highest forms of alienation.
Mayday, Work, Anti-capitalism
Short text on the nature of the anti-capitalist movement, economic crisis and the negation of the proletariat.
In central London on Mayday, protesters demonstrate against multinationals (and much besides) while in America, tens of thousands of workers are laid off as the economy goes into crisis. The capitalist economy does more damage to itself than do the protests.
