Several hundred students from various French universities had voted to re-occupy it, and around 200 students occupied a conference room, but were escorted out by riot police later that day.

The Sorbonne will not reopen its gates on monday like officials have said. The university will remain gates closed as long as the unrest shall go on: this is what has been announced by the officials, yesterday.

It appears to be the same groupings that have been attacking protesters over the last few days using iron bars. There have been warning to protesters to stick together and to be aware that these fascists are armed.

Lots of different stories coming in right now about events around the Sorbonne area.

From what can be gathered, 200 armed and helmeted fascists were allowed past the CRS (riot police), and attacked the gathering of anti-CPE youths and students. Earlier in the evening, at around 7.30pm the CRS were heavily outnumbered and resorted to teargas and water cannon in order to disperse the crowds.

1,500 on the move in the Latin Quarter, Paris

1500 people have met at the main lecture hall at the Sorbonne medical school. They voted: to continue to strike until the withdrawal of Cpe, and in favour of the reopening of the Sorbonne (which is to be closed for one week on decision of the vice-chancellor).
