 <title>Cambodia: Garment workers threaten strikes</title>

 <description>&lt;p&gt;The garment workers are threatening strikes in reaction to governement proposals to change the law that compels employers to pay double wages for night work. By cutting this premium by 70% the Prime Minister, Hun Sen, claims he will be able to create tens of thousands of new jobs. The industry is currently responsible for US$2.3bn worth of exports yearly, almost 80% of the total.&lt;/p&gt;

 <title>Vietnemese minimum wage set to rise</title>

 <title>UK minimum wage increases today</title>

 <description>&lt;p&gt;This is the seventh annual increase since it was introduced in 1999 at £3.60/hour. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The minimum wage for 18-21 year olds also goes up to £4.45 an hour by 20p, and the rate for 16 and 17 year olds rises to £3.30, an increase of 30p an hour.&lt;/p&gt;
