Flags

Were did people get all those decent red and black flags on the 26th, most of them were uniform so I assume most people got them from the same place. I've been looking for red and black flags to get off the internet and I can't really find any.

Thanks

I think I heard of at least one AFed group who were making a load themselves prior to the march - though that doesn't account for all of them.

It seems that getting the fabric and making them yourself is the best way to go... it seems quite hard to get decent ones online.

AK Press makes some really nice ones which are, unfortunately, sort of pricey. I also don't know how much it would cost to send them to the UK since AKUK doesn't have them available as far as I can tell.

if you can sow, or have access to a sowing machine, you can make a flag for a couple of quid. we made ten or so a while back for a demo, but ran out of thread so fixed them together with prit stick tongue

i have to say all those flags made the various blocs look really lively, really stood out amongst all the pre-made placards etc

A stick thick also doubles as some kind of protection against batons, should it come to that.

Personally, I'd jettison the big red cross/white background malarky in favour of a black rectangle with the word CRETIN printed in the centre in stark bold text.

ha - don't credit for it! It was those of us who organised the militant workers bloc. We made 150 flags. There are plans to make tons more and will hopefully sell them at freedom for a knocked down price
