An index of forum FAQs for new users

We really need an index of common threads/questions which people ask again and again meaning people stop answering after a while. This way new users can see where people's views are at (and what has already been answered) and if they want to continue the discussion can post on an old thread. Its not always easy to do a search before posting so an index in the form of a post could help people a lot, and save us having to read new posts with the same old stuff in.

So if anyone has an suggestions for threads/questions which have been done please post them up here.

Only one I can think of at the moment is on Jobs and Anarchism prompted by this exchange, I know this has been done before, but i cant find a thread for it.

OK a few things - will try to add actual threads in later or post 'em up if you know. I think it could go beyond a FAQ - it could just be a list of recurring discussions people might want to check out to get a feel for the forums, like a topology of the forums wink . Also when we do this, we should add the year the thread(s) was started in.

* working class, middle class, ruling class
* ethical shopping
* primitivism (but do we want that on an introductory thread? we only get like one or two a year now so could maybe forget it)
* Kronstadt
* Spanish Civil War
* Decadence
* "Marxism vs. Anarchism"
* Nationalism
* maybe a couple of decent organising/news threads - like one or two CPE ones, the higher ed strike, just because otherwise it could get to be a depressing list.
