Article edit went live without going through moderation

Hi

http://libcom.org/library/vote-change

I edited this slightly (couple of typos and a minor re-wording of one sentence) and the changes appeared straight away, without the usual 'changes pending moderation ' message appearing...

right, that would be because one of us edited the article, and unchecked the "new revisions in moderation" queue, not realising that that worked permanently rather than just for that one revision.

We need to try and sort this, thanks for bringing it to our attention

If you edit articles and have that checkbox, you should skip moderation anyway, so no need to uncheck it. However I'm pretty sure there's also a bug in the module which allows edits on certain conditions but not on others, will take some time to track down. Would be good to separate both those possibilities though.

catch: from the previous discussion we had here after you try to fix notes pages being edited by authenticated users without moderation, you changed the settings.

Now, when editors or administrators edit something in the library, news or history sections it automatically goes into the moderation queue. Notes are okay.

Sorry if this is a stupid question - does this mean changes to pages in the 'notes' section bypass moderation?

I just made a minor change to http://libcom.org/notes/help-out and the edited page went live straightaway.

they were supposed to be moderated, but there was a problem with this. This was meant to have been fixed, but I guess it has not been yet. We will give it a go

That's weird, because some articles, e.g. http://libcom.org/library/preamble and http://libcom.org/library/nihilist-communism-some-basic-elaborations still went into the queue. Maybe it's different because they are book pages.

When editing an OP you still need to select that revision. I noticed it the other day with the post about child killings in China that Steven edited and it happened to me today. It's not much of an issue but I thought I'd mention it.

It's a bug in the module, under certain conditions, an edit will get through without moderation, I have a feeling it's something like "if an admin edits it, bypassing moderation, the next person bypasses it too" but not 100% on that.
