Watching The Fall makes me feel like someone who looks at modern art and says, "Any kid could have drawn that." Also like all the people who have said to me of Reggae that they can't understand what they're saying.

That's fair enough but I hear magic in the 'ah's' of the reactionary man umiak misanthrope. The lyrics are wonderful poetry to me.

Thanks Craftwork, a most pleasant and diverting listen.

This is the last Crass song they recorded. I don't like the anti-Americanism but I like the rest.
'Mac' referred to Ian McGregor, the scum sucking manager of the British Coalboard at the time of the strike.
To be noted is the fact that the first ever word that Crass put on vinyl was 'Fuck' and the last ever two words were 'fuck off', which I feel is worthy of credit in and of itself.
One more thing;

Joe Strummer said

Quote:
Crass were the only ones that did it properly, weren't they, but that was too much like hard work

Ironic really as it was Mr Strummer himself that inspired Steve Ignorant to start a band. The Clash were a sham but at least Comrade Joe admitted it.

I do like a lot of the other stuff people have been posting. I just think it would be fun to post the songs we feel embarrassed to like. It's like a game of truth or dare.

I'm not embarrassed about anything I like so I can't play. Shame.

Still secretly like this. Only the experience of working at the speedway made me fall out of love with motorbikes.

That's a right little groover, ya gotta call it a tune though, not a song.

Apart from his "Jazz" LP, I pretty much love everything Ry Cooder has ever been involved in, including the soundtracks. Chavez Ravine is possibly my favourite collaboration - though I couldn't find the full album on You Tube.

Oh yeah! The soundtrack for Southern Comfort is extraordinary. Love the Cajun barn dance stuff in there too.
