Something wrong with the comment box

This morning I noticed that the comment box that should be at the bottom of the page, is now stuck on the top right-hand side under the search box. Is this just a problem for Konqueror, or is everyone seeing that? It was fine last night.

Making the window big fixes it. Also, it doesn't happen to all threads.

Tested it in Firefox and there is no problem. I would suggest that something to do with the theme is wrong, but not so badly wrong as to piss firefox off.

This is what I see:

'Twas working last night. So someone must have fiddled with something.

I'm waiting for the next version of Fedora Core Linux to come out next month, at which point I will upgrade my whole system. In the mean time I was suggesting that maybe something is mangled in the css file that is causing problems for me, but that other browsers are sufficiently forgiving to ignore it. It was working fine yesterday.

Well interestingly last night the comment box extended across the right hand column (fine now) and i use firefox. Go figure.

Hmmm... the width of the posts was changed last night from 95% to 98% because 'Post new comment' was displaying up next to search. This fixed that issue for the majority of users and also it equalled up the white space on either side of the posts which was bugging me.

Why its fucked up the comment box in your browser im not sure. Im guessing its to do with how K handles the 'float' property.

That's OK. For now I've increased the default size of the window, which sorts the problem out. Will be upgrading browser by this time next month, fingers crossed.

btw above bottom comment box at bottom of threads in IE there is an "echo" of links after posts on some pages. i.e. bits of "write to author | quote" etc. are showing double, one in the white space between thread and reply box.

Ok i got it, when the window is resized to a tiny bit smaller than full screen i get "author" "quote" showing double. Thats really fucking odd.

Do you see them on specific reply pages?

They're not set to appear on standard forum pages (with the reply box at the bottom), but I could do that if you want...

You need to have the option selected in your profile - have you done that?

Go to my account - edit - then find the box for "smileys on submission pages".
