Hey guys. For the last three months ive been starting an AntiFA group up around manchester called the March Corps. We have regular access to manchester and were beginning to recruit now, so if anyones interested PM me.

Cheers.

Is this a joke? Im sure antifascist groups already exist in Manchester, without needing to push for another separated group.

I aint never seen one doing anything. I can't find an AntiFa in manchester and havnt come into contact with any other groups, which would be somewhat unlucky as ive lived around manchester for 5 years.

Hmm, I'd be a bit wary of an anti-fascist group on Manchester with a really wierd name popping up out of nowhere and requesting meet-ups through the internet.

Farran why do you want to set up an antifa group in the first place? I am sure there is one in Manchester, they probably just don't want to attract the attention of the authorities.

Im part of Glasgow Antifa. we've been successful in stopping the SDL when theyve tried to hold thier demos in glasgow and edinburgh and most recently in kilmarnock, where we held them to a slagging match for almost an hour in the town centre and totally wasted thier time.

we've been in touch with newcastle and manchester antifa over the last few months and, along with other antifa groups in Edinburgh and Aberdeenwe have created the Scottish Anti Fascist Alliance (SAFA) and are looking to form a national alliance with other antifa groups around the UK and, if possible, hold proactive events, discussion forums and seminars rather then be a reactive force, only coming together to combat the right wing when they surface.

Unlike UAF we are not a front for any political party and no one political agenda dictates our action, but rather we are a co-operative alliance, relying on the sharing of information and experience to inform our decisions. anybody who wants to get involved please do. there is no official SAFA page as yet, but both the Glasgow and Edinburgh Anti Fascist Alliance groups have separate pages on facebook where you can see what we're about and what we've been doing. there are also numerous videos on youtube. type SDL Glasgow into the search bar. there are two videos around 7:30 in length that give a good idea of our numbers.

no pasaran!

I've been looking to try and unite anti-fascists across the UK against the racist elements of EDL. Would it be possible for you to expand your group to become nationwide?

Posted stuff on internet forums, the most effective method of anti-fascism there is. Bonus points for posting direct links to fash sites.
