SA - Teachers declare rolling strikes

Rolling stoppages declared
31 July 2008

AEU members have demonstrated overwhelming support for rolling stoppages on Monday 4 August to Thursday 7 August.

At the 5.00 pm Wednesday deadline for the return of workplace ballot results, 83% of members have voted in favour of strike action.

On the basis of such strong support, AEU Branch Executive has declared the Rolling Stoppages statewide action. As a consequence of this determination, AEU Executive encourages ALL AEU members to participate in the stop work action scheduled for their Area.

All rallies, including country, will commence at 10.00 am.

Monday 4 August

Elizabeth Munno Para; Gawler; North East Urban; North West Urban; Northern Urban; Tea Tree Gully (TAFE Campuses at Tea Tree Gully, Gilles Plains, Elizabeth, Salisbury, Gawler, Parafield) with rally at Premier Rann's (Ramsay) electorate office (40-42 Commercial Road, Salisbury)
