Wharfies strike - Port of Auckland

Ports of Auckland workers attended a stop work on 31 January 2012 to discuss the company’s plan to cut wages and conditions through redundancies and out sourcing. Workers voted unanimously to start a work ban in 14 days on any work that has already been contracted out at the port.
