Glastonbury

I'm brand new here and I am no sure of the nature or atmosphere of these forums. I was just wondering if anyone is going to Glastonbury festival this year? There doesn't seem to be much of an anarchist presence. I'm going.

Please delete this or request that I do if not appropriate.

Why would it not be appropriate?

I thought the forums might just be for direct action, demonstrations, literature etc.

Anyway, back to reality

Who wants to goto a corporate festival anyway, specially when you can't get in for nowt anymore?

Take a look at this, and if you find Vince Power poke him in the eye for us - http://www.indymedia.org.uk/en/2002/06/33350.html

What with all the police at reading, the searches the intimidation, the moodiness bit like an open air prison - you gotta grin and bare it mate cry

Me, I'm off to some free festivals hopefully. You know, the one's that don't revolve around ripping you off and the Old Bill breathing down your neck. In fact, if enough people got together that wanna part with a hundred quid for a corporate festival, hired a generator and a PA we could all be having our own free micro festies - innit! Mr. T

Probably gonna go to Earth First too

Have a good summer whatever you get up to.

I take it all back - If it's free, it's not allowed! - Oxford party closed down

Anyone been to the Eden sessions? only major open air gigs in the country featuring NO ADVERTS. And they're held in the coolest venue you could hope to find.

I'm back. Although having to pay limits the crowd, it wasn't as commercial as you might expect. The only multi national corperation I can remember there was Orange, although i'm sure there were more. Peace and friendliness reigns. Everyone shares and talks to each other, helps each other etc.
