Thought this might be interesting to some - scanned radical hackney literature..
Speaking of Hackney, I just bumped into a co-organiser of newly-formed Hackney Anarchist Group (HAG).
From the flyer it seems like well-meaning squatters out of Offmarket looking to do some broad anti-capitalist and anti-cuts stuff but who are completely detached from workers in Hackney. I could be wrong.
Anyone know owt else?
That's the ALARM group I think. Don't know much else though.
Ah right, flyer doesn't mention Alarm, and the co-organiser I bumped into used to live in Belfast and never mentioned Alarm yesterday.
Are Alarm setting up lots of groups like this?
They're linked to it and the initiative got started via an Alarm meeting, but not sure how formal the relationship is atm as they're still in the setup stage right now. Not sure how detached they are as I've only spoken to a couple of them but decent people anyhoo.
I'm probably moving up hackney way for work in the next couple of months and was going to ask about what's going on there, any pointers for a newbie to london?
Hackney is the best place in the world!
Hackney is the best place in the world!
That's great to know thanks but is there anything going on there at the moment? I'd quite like to get involved as i've been out of everything for a little while, i worked in a radical bookshop/co-op for ten years but moved to a town with nothing going on and lost touch.
Yeah, a great site, cheers.
