BNP Conference in West Mids, Probable Birmingham. (WANKERS)

Anyone else see this in the news they are having a conference in the west mids and they have invited La Pen (Wanker) to come and stir up some publicity for their MEP bid from the west mids.

I really think we need to talk about this and maybe get something sorted.

Indeed - there is always the danger with these things that they are simply made up - or rumours based on rumours. The ANL are terrible for telling prokies about this sort of thing - anything to get their new recruits out there waving lollipops.

Is Le Pen a bit too important to get into bed with Griffin this side of the BNP having an MEP?

It was on central news, and i am now trying frantically looking on the net to confirm this.

Most recent thing in a google search for "BNP conference Le Pen" is a Guardian report on Le Pen speaking at Cambridge University a year ago.

the problem with any supposed action against the BNP at one of their meetings would clearly be the prospect of them receiving more publicity than if no action were to take place.

I suppose the BNP are an easy target though, seeing as the anarchist movement seems incapable of actually assaulting contemporary capitalism, whether theoretically or pratically, then the BNP could be a reasonable target for letting off some steam.

Unless you are actually planning to stop any such meeting taking place.

I really doubt, even if it has been reported on the news, that a figure as notorious as Le Pen, not mr le Pen anyway would actually go to the trouble of meeting his brum comrades.

Well we could do stuff to make the conference 'not go smoothly' that wasn't a big rumpus...

I'm still not sold that it's ahppening, though.

fuck sake La Pen has been here before actually last year!

"24 April 2003: Cambridge

Le Pen humiliated at the Cambridge Union

Some 200 Anti Nazi League pickets blockaded and humiliated Jean-Marie Le Pen, the French fascist leader, when he came to speak at the Cambridge Union on Thursday 24 April. Le Pen left as he entered, surrounded by bodyguards and whisked away in a fast car, with hundreds of anti-Nazis surrounding him. The meeting was a shambles – no-one attending could hear Le Pen speak thanks the volume of chanting outside."

That from the ANL site.

well there is a UAF meeting at carrs lane church on tuesday the 6th of april and hopefully by then there is some solid info on where it is happening and even the UAF guy i was talking to has heard about the possible La Pen appearence in the west mids.

The ANL is talking bollocks there. I've spoken to people inside that debate and they could easily hear le Pen. I can't work out how he was 'humiliated' either. Still, the ANL never let what actually happened get in the way of some good old fashioned self-congratulation.

Well it does not matter if the ANL achieved anything i used the excerpt to show that La Pen has been here before.

Amnyway, anybody want to go to the UAF meeting on the 6th april at carrs lane church centre?

wty, unless you're making a very subtle linguistic play on words around the fact that in french pen sounds like the word for sort emotional pain, and i think is a feminine noun, then the bastard's name is LE pen. the problem with la pen is that it's not far off the word for bunny rabbit... yes i really am bored here...
