Most of the shop, institution and tenant news was written by folks worked, schooled or lived
where they were reporting on

One thing we strove to do was to use the newsletter as a voice for
those engaged in actual struggles. A publication by and for those engaged.
And to try and connect those struggles and militants. OTL was not meant as
a theoretical publication, tho none of us were opposed to theory. "Ideas and action"
later on mainly fit that bill.

We wanted it to be a living, breathing voice of libertarian workers
and those engaged in actual struggles, expressing actual trials and
travails of its participants
