Sticker campaigns counter-productive?

Is stickering items of street furniture counter-productive? I occassionally see anarchist stickers on street furniture.

You do realise that a revolution is so much more than putting up stickers right?

I think its pointless for the most part, it will probably go unnoticed by most people otherwise they might not understand it. Stick them up around your work or university though and all you'll do is annoy management and put a smile on another anarchists face.

Yeah never said it was a bad thing, doesn't really accomplish much beyond that though.

If the sticker helps bind together a tear in the fabric, or stop the tear getting any worse then surely it is of value.

Best place for stickers are pub/restaurant toilets...you always look straight ahead at wall or sit looking blankly around the stall.

Most of my political development came from stickers.
