Collapse of Free Economy

Submitted by Maclane Horton on January 14, 2016

Petrol cheaper than water. Baltic Dry Exchange at lowest for thirty years. An oncoming cycle of ever deeper recessions. And at the controls a set of blinkered officials whose mindsets are so closed down that there is no hope of them ever finding a way out.

Of course there is a way out – simply central planning and control of industry on the basis of a war economy. But that isn’t going to happen.

So tighten your belts for a period of populism, racism, police states, grinding poverty and no light at the end of the tunnel.

Happy landings all.

A war economy is no way out at all. The only way out is the self realisation by the working class that it is itself the bearer of a new and much better society. Plus the development of sufficient class consciousness for it to have another go at trying to overthrow the decomposing boourgeois system with its racism, police states, grinding poverty and no future at all.

This is the only possible happy landing still on the cards.
