On this day in 1986, the ASF was founded at a meeting at Jura Books, 417 King St., Newtown by former members of the Rebel Worker Group, Melbourne Anarcho-Syndicalist Group as well as Bulgarian and Spanish anarchist exiles including the late George Hristov and the late Antonio Jimenez.. Today, 27 January marks the 30th Anniversary of ASF-IWA.
