Anti-union training video for managers at Lowe's Home Improvement

Submitted by Blake Flynn on May 13, 2013

This is a bit unlike most of these sorts of videos that get leaked in that it's specifically for managers, not regular employees. Watch it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AsleIuQnBtQ

I used to work at Lowe's.

In the break room, we had a little flip chart on the wall instructing us what to do in the event of various emergencies--chemical spill, fire, tornadoes, etc About halfway down the list there was tab, 'contact by organized labor". So there you have it, according to Lowe's management, a child being abducted is equal to union organizer stepping into the store.

Its like the 101 inverted through a nightmarish prism of 1990s polyester and beige slacks.

Man, someone should really write a piece looking at how managers are trained to deal with employee organising on the job--maybe even read some management textbooks or take a management training class. I bet you could even turn it into a training session... ;)
