The Emperors Naked Army Marches On

A documentary about a war veteran and now determined anti militarist Kenzo Okuzaki and his attempts to investigate suspicious murders in his old regiment. He works his way up the chain of command and confronts his former officers and uncovers some grizzly secrets.

The Emperor's Naked Army Marches On is a 1987 documentary following Kenzo Okuzaki and his one man crusade against war and Japan's greatest war criminal Emperor Hirohito. Throughout the film he confronts officers over there crimes during and after the war ended, exposes shocking conditions Japanese soldiers had to endure and ridicules the justifications for the acts and there cover up.

He also brings along some relatives of the murdered servicemen and some Anarchist friends of his, one of whom aided him in his hitting the Emperor with a sling shot. He also frequently confronts the police and sometimes calls them himself for the purpose of lashing out at them. At several points he physically assaults witnesses whom refuse to tell him the truth. The film ends with Kenzo trying to resolve the scandals in his own way.
