14 people died and £3 billion pounds worth of damage was done in the floods earlier this year in the UK. Experts have predicted that there is an increased risk of such catastrophes occurring in the future. This documentary asks if enough is being done to protect the public, reveals the towns most at risk of flooding and also considers the devastating impact a dam collapse could have on a major city.
Tue 4 December - 8 - 9pm - Channel 5 - Olympic Massacre: The True Story
This documentary chronicles the events of September 1972 when Palestinian terrorist group Black September took nine members of the Israeli team hostage with tragic results. The German authorities, having no anti-terrorist unit, were completely unprepared as the crisis moved inexorably to a bloody conclusion.
Thu 6 December - 9 - 10pm - Channel 4 - Hitler's Favourite Royal
This documentary tells the story of Prince Charles Edward, Queen Victoria's youngest grandchild, who was forced by his grandmother to take up the Dukedom of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha in Germany. As the British Empire began to crumble he reluctantly fought for the Germans in the First World War, then when it became a republic he sought a new role in far-right politics and became a supporter of Hitler.
