A few hours ago, a bomb has stroke a house in a small Turkish village in Urfa near the Syrian border killing 5 people including at least two children and their mother. An angry crowd marched to the government buildings in the town and many violent clashes occurred between the people and the police. The Turkish state was openly supporting the so called "insurgents" which were mostly Islamist militia and locals were angry about this, feeling that this was an imperialistic intervention towards a friendly people. Especially in majority Alavite (a non-Sunni non-orthodox Muslim sect which is also Baas' and Esad's religious sect) towns (such as Antakya) there were mass demonstrations against Turkish military support for the insurgency.
On the other hand, the government seems to be planning to intervene militarily using this last incident as an excuse. One of the government ministers already told that, "this was the last drop and we will react accordingly." In some Turkish tv channels it is said that Turkey has bombed Idlib in Syria. I will try to update this as soon as I learn more.
