Debate between Blaumachen and Internationalist Perspective

A debate with Internationalist Perspective

We present two texts that constitute a small debate between Blaumachen and two comrades from the journal Internationalist Perspective. Our comrades from IP have written a critique of our main article on the Greek riots of December 2008 that was published in the third issue of Blaumachen. Our response can be found here, just below their text.

The historical production of the revolution of the current period - Blaumachen

The historical production of the revolution of the current period

The historical development of the contradiction between the proletariat and capital under real subsumption has led, today, to the period of crisis of the increasingly, and at an ever accelerated rate, internationalised capital relation. The current form of the capital relation and its crisis have been produced by the restructuring that followed the 1973 crisis.

This is a summary in english of an extended text under the same title originally published in Blaumachen #4 in June 2010.

Crisis activity and communisation - Bruno Astarian

Through the lens of recent struggles in Greece and Bangladesh, Bruno Astarian examines what distinguishes proletarian activity in times of insurrection from that of everyday class struggle, how this could lead to a process of communisation, and what such a process might involve.

The glass floor - Théo Cosme

Theorie Communiste’s analysis of the December 2008 Greek riots.

In for a storm: a crisis on the way - Troploin

2007 article on the state of global capitalism and the possibility of rupture.

What's it all about? Questions and answers - Troploin

The Troploin collective, interviewed by German communist group Revolution Times, outline their (anti-) political perspective.

Invisible Politics - An Introduction to Contemporary Communisation - John Cunningham

In the wake of the organised left and the demise of working class self-identity, communisation offers a paradoxical means of superseding capitalism in the here and now whilst abandoning orthodox theories of revolution. John Cunningham reports from the picket line of the ‘human strike'.

Notes on Endnotes

A short summary and critical analysis of “Endnotes 1: Preliminary Materials for a Balance Sheet of the 20th Century” which "presents a discussion between two contemporary French groups on the relation between the present class relation and the failed revolutions of the 20th Century." http://endnotes.org.uk/

The debate was between Gilles Dauvé & Karl Nesic and the Theorie Communiste group and covered such issues as the conception of proletariat and communism, periodisation of struggles, historical determinism etc.

Endnotes 1 was published in October 2008.

Self-organisation is the first act of the revolution; it then becomes an obstacle which the revolution has to overcome

Theorie Communiste look at revolution as communisation, through the lense of some recent struggles.
