Haunt of Migrants in Exarcheia, Athens, attacked with hand-grenade
On the night of February 24 the Haunt of Migrants on Tsamadou Street in Exarcheia (a social centre for migrants) was attacked while an assembly of the Association of Conscientious Objectors was taking place inside.
A hand-grenade was thrown from outside. Luckily the building’s window was shut and double-glazed - the first layer of the window broke but the hand-grenade bounced off and exploded outside.
What follows is a statement issued by the Network for Social and Political Rights, also housed in the same building.

Antifa in the Wild East - internet warrior sets the the record straight
Anti-fascism in Russia is not a political but a social movement. It is not some irrelevant lefties who imagined that “fascism is an immanent threat” and started to “fight” it. And that is how it should be - fascism is not a threat in Russia – they do not have a slightest chance to take over. At least 95% of the population hates them. State and capital are the real problem.
This article was published in Abolishing the Borders from Below #33. Now it is first time published online. 4 months have passed, one person mentioned has been murdered, another one is in Butyrka prison of Moscow, but much of it is still actual.

Stop the BNP, stop the real bigots
A leaflet produced by Brighton Solidarity Federation and distributed at an anti-BNP demonstration in Hove in December 2008, attended by 150 people in response to BNP attempts to meet publically and launch a local branch.
The BNP believe in much of the worst in society. Thugs in uniform kicking down immigrants doors at dawn and forcing them into detention camps without trial. Attacks on the organised working class. Playing one racial community against the other. Christian fundamentalist bigots in charge of communities. Destroying social institutions such as the NHS. These are some of the dreams of the BNP.

Peninsula, September 1991
Although the specter of fascist resurgence seems largely forgotten in the euphoria of German reunification, it may not be far beneath the peaceful veneer of that nation, or any other, for that matter. Even the most ostensibly free and open societies are not immune to fascism's lure - including places like Palo Alto.

For years I kept a strange secret. I shared this silence with two hundred students. Yesterday I ran into one of those students. For a brief moment it all rushed back.
