Leninism
The struggle against Iranian fascism begins with the struggle against Iranian Bolshevism - The Red Menace
Analysis of the political situation in Iran following the end of the Iran-Iraq war in 1988.
Since the Iran-Iraq ceasefire the political map of the Middle East has been undergoing an extensive metamorphosis.
Intervention->communication->participation - Antagonism
Text by the Antagonism group on the ideology of intervention, and the supposed separation between revolutionaries and the proletariat in low periods of lclass struggle.
Introduction/Intervention/Injection
The precondition for any intervention is the separation of those carrying out the intervention from those who the intervention is directed toward. Intervention takes us back again to the situation of the enlightened minority bringing revolutionary ideas.
Morning Star journalists win pay rise
Journalists at Britain's 'daily paper of the left' have won a decisive victory over bosses who claimed they were 'betraying their class' by fighting for fair pay.
The sub-editors and reporters at the historic newspaper, which has a solid reputation backing workers fighting back, won their claim for a £19,000 a year minimum wage.
Bosses at the paper had offered the workers just a 3 per cent rise for the 2008 pay deal — effectively a pay cut as last year's average inflation rate was 4 per cent — claiming that there was no cash to pay more.
Morning Star journalists ballot for strike action
Morning Star journalists could be walking off the job next month in the first ever pay strike at Britain’s “daily paper of the left.”
Sub-editors and reporters at the Morning Star are balloting for industrial action after bosses at the newspaper tore up a commitment to try to close the pay gap with other national journalists, despite receiving hundreds of thousands of pounds in new investment.
Amilcar Cabral's theory of class suicide and revolutionary socialism - Tom Meisenhelder
Article about petty bourgeois leadership of national liberation movements. We do not agree with the article, but reproduce it for reference.
This is a most difficult time for revolutionary socialists. The rapid collapse and disintegration of the Soviet Union, the electoral defeat of the Sandinistas, the many problems of Cuba, and the demise of revolutionary Marxism-Leninism in Africa all force a serious questioning of basic ideas and strategies. It is a time when global capital seems to rule nearly unchallenged throughout the world.
The state and counter-revolution - Negation
A 1972 article by Negation, in the United States debunking the myths of Leninism and the New Left in particular.
They confront the fact that state-capitalism, the state-management of production and society, the rule over society by the class of the state, the bureaucracy, is still almost universally confused with "communism" as Marx defined it, due in part to the conspiracy of silence and distortion which unites the capitalists of both "East" and "West".
Listen, Marxist! - Murray Bookchin
Murray Bookchin's best-known leaflet, Listen, Marxist! was aimed predominantly at students influenced by the Maoist Progressive Labor Party which was heavily (and highly destructive) active in the mass Students for a Democratic Society movement in 1960s and 70s America. His criticisms of "Marxism" and Marxist terminology are not applicable to Marxism as a whole, but some do apply to the crude politics of the PLP. Despite this significant shortcoming, we reproduce the document here due to its importance in terms of the left and libertarian left in the US
