At 6:30 AM on the morning of 9 February a janitor at the FIAN Institute found the body of Nikita Kalin, born in 1991. He had been stabbed 61 times. His family are now in dire need of support.
At 8:00 on the day the body was found police arrived, and 11:00 AM police contacted mother of the murdered. according to mother, Nikita was stabbed 61 times, besides this his ribs were fractured multiple times, and head was wounded as well. No property was stolen. Currently a suspect of the murder is arrested, blood of Nikita was found in clothes of the arrested.
It is obvious, that Nikita was attacked with a group, and police also
told to mother off the record, that detained suspect is a national
socialist activist, and refuses to name any suspects. Besides brutality
of the murder, investigation has still not questioned mother of Nikita,
or his friend who was the last person who saw it. Due to this, we
suppose that there will be an attempt to cover the case, as it often
hapens in Russia. However, suspect has already hired a lawyer.
We suspect, that investigation is working on interests of the arrested,
and thus support is necessary. At this point, a human rights
organisation has provided a lawyer, but funds are still needed for
funeral costs.
Nikita was from a simple working class family, and never hide his
anti-fascist and anarchist views.

At this point, local anarchists suspect that authorities want to cover up the case (for reasons unknown - could be police found that difficult to investigate as foresinc evidence alone hardly stands in Russian court, could be that Nazis paid big bribes or have important relatives). So actions abroad could also make a point that we are not letting this to be covered up. It would be good to put such actions to local anti-fascist/anti-racist context as well.

Anarquista-antifascista asesinado en la ciudad de Samara: familia y
amigos necesitan ayuda
El 9 de febrero a las 6:30 a.m. en el barrio del Instituto FIAN de la
ciudad de Samara fue encontrado el cuerpo sin vida de Nikita Kalin,
nacido en 1991. La policía llegó al lugar a las 8:00 a.m. y a las 11 la
madre de la víctima fue informada de los hechos. Según ésta, el cuerpo
de Nikita tenía 61 heridas con cuchillo, múltiples fracturas en el
cuerpo y traumas en el cráneo. Sus objetos personales y dinero se
encontraban con él. Se ha detenido a uno de los sospechosos del
asesinato, en el que se encontraron rastros de la sangre de la víctima.
Según todas las pistas el crimen fue cometido por un grupo de personas,
y, como mostrara la madre de la víctima en una conversación no oficial
con un agente de la policía, el detenido pertenece a un grupo de
fascistas. Actualmente éste se niega a dar información sobre sus
compañeros de crimen. A pesar del carácter salvaje de este asesinato, la
fiscalía hasta ahora no ha interrogado ni a la madre de la víctima ni a
un amigo de Nikita que lo vio por última vez. Con esto queda claro que
se va a intentar dejar este caso “frenado” como es típico de las
autoridades rusas. La madre igualmente nos informó que se ha contratado
un abogado para defender al acusado.
Después de haber analizado esta situación, hemos llegado a la conclusión
de que la fiscalía está del lado del acusado. Por esta razón,
necesitamos de vuestra ayuda para reunir los medios económicos
necesarios para contratar un abogado y apoyar a la familia de la víctima.
Recordemos que Nikita era hijo de simples trabajadores y nunca ocultó
sus puntos de vista antifascistas y anarquistas.

Le 9 février, à 6h30, à Samara, près de l’université "FIAN", un concierge
a trouvé le corps de Kalina Nikita Vadimovich, né en 1991. À 8h00, sur le
lieu de l’accident est arrivée une patrouille de police. A 11h00, la mère
du défunt a été informée de l'incident. Selon sa mère, sur le corps de
Nikita, il y avait environ 61 coups de couteau, fractures costales
multiples et des traumatismes crâniens. Les affaires personnelles et de
l'argent étaient sur lui. Actuellement, une personne, suspectée d'être
impliquée dans l'assassinat, est en garde à vue ; sur les vêtements de
celui-ci a été trouvé du sang de la victime.
Selon toutes les indications, l'attaque a été commise par un groupe. La
mère de la victime, après une conversation informelle avec un agent de
police, nous a indiqué que le suspect arrêté fait partie d’un groupe
néo-nazi, et que, pour le moment, il refuse de nommer les noms de ses
associés. En dépit de la nature brutale de l'assassinat, les enquêteurs
n'ont pas encore interrogé la mère et l’ami de la victime, dernières
personnes à l’avoir vu. A partir de cela, nous concluons que, comme
d’habitude en Russie, on tente de "mettre un frein " à cette affaire.
Cependant, toujours selon les dires de la mère de la victime, nous savons
que pour protéger les intérêts du suspect en garde à vue, a été embauché un
avocat.
En analysant la situation, nous arrivons à la conclusion que l’enquête
travaille dans les intérêts du détenu, et donc nous avons besoin de votre
aide pour amasser des fonds pour l'avocat et le soutien à la famille du
défunt.
Rappelons que Nikita était le fils de travailleurs ordinaires, et n'a
jamais caché ses opinions antifascistes et anarchistes.
