Chomsky apparently suffered a stroke in June 2023 and is now recovering in a hospital in Brazil (his wife's Brazilian). Sad news for the countless people he's influenced over the decades (including myself), whether one agrees with him entirely or not.
Valeria Chomsky told the newspaper that her husband follows the news and when he sees images of the war in Gaza, he raises his left arm in a gesture of lament and anger.
